• To formulate, develop and monitor the implementation of health and safety policies, systems, procedures and standards for existing activities and new acquisitions/processes within the organisation in order to ensure effective risk management.
• Assessing hazards and conducting risk assessments on health and safety as per local authority standards and review them regularly.
• To implement and maintain procedures and processes for the reporting, investigation, recording and analysis of injury accidents, dangerous occurrences, near miss incidents and work-related ill health.
• To analyse the spot check trends, and proactively work with the teams to look for solutions.
• Ensure all departments are aware of H&S policies as set out by the company.
• To liaise with Heads of Department to identify safety training needs and ensure safety training programmes undertaken reflect the needs of the business.
• Develop department specific inspection and audit programmes.
• Proactively assist all departments with regards to their safe working practices and training, encourage solutions focus in tackling issues and helping teams to see their vision & future perfect with relation to H&S.
• Identify training needs and work with departments to ensure the holes are filled. Ensuring that training is engaging, and ensure a testing process is in place to test knowledge.
