Job description: About Our Client:

Our client, a leading government entity in Abu Dhabi is looking for a Head of Financial Accounting & Reporting who will be responsible for overseeing the financial reporting process, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, managing internal controls, and maintaining stakeholder relationships.

What you will do:

• Providing leadership to the financial reporting team to ensure timely delivery of all financial statements.
• Manage the completion of the annual statutory accounts process.
• Develop business processes, accounting policies & testing plans to maintain & strengthen internal controls.
• Manage the consolidation & month-end process to deliver a timely & accurate monthly reporting timetable.
• Ensure compliance with the appropriate accounting standards & maintenance of Group accounting manual.
• Development of financial systems and reporting.
• Liaise with internal, external Audit and regulators to develop and maintain stakeholder relationships.
• Review policies to deliver confidence in results.

What they do expect from you:

• At least 10 years of experience in a Senior Reporting / Group Finance role (Minimum of 5 years UAE proven experience).
• Qualified ACA, CIMA or ACCA, or QBE.
• Experience working in one of the Big 4 companies.
