Job description: Our client, a leading government entity in Abu Dhabi is looking for a Head of Financial Accounting & Reporting who will be responsible for overseeing the financial reporting process, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, managing internal controls, and maintaining stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities:

– Providing leadership to the financial reporting team to ensure timely delivery of all financial statements
– Manage the completion of the annual statutory accounts process
– Develop business processes, accounting policies & testing plans to maintain & strengthen internal controls
– Manage the consolidation & month end process to deliver timely &accurate monthly reporting timetable
– Ensure compliance with the appropriate accounting standards & maintenance of Group accounting manual
– Development of financial systems and reporting
– Liaise with internal, external Audit and regulators – develop and maintain stakeholder relationships
– Review policies to deliver confidence in results produced, to control risk, prevent fraud, identify financial issues

Requirements:

– At least 10 years of experience in a Senior Reporting / Group Finance role (Minimum of 5 years UAE years proven experience)
– Qualified ACA, CIMA or ACCA, or QBE
– Experience working in one of the Big4 companies
